June 8 – Departure day from JFK OR LAX to Tokyo

Day 1: Sunday, June 9 – Airport transfer by a private coach

  • Arrival in Tokyo (Either Narita/NRT or Haneda Airport/HND)
  • Transfer from the Airport (either Haneda/HND or Narita/NRT) to your hotel by private coach
  • Check-in
  • Welcome dinner at a hotel restaurant, All Day Dining Cross Dine
  • Meal(s) included: Dinner

Day 2: Monday, June 10 - Roundtrip transfer by private coach

  • 1st school visit at Inagakuen Junior and Senior High school (Public school)
  • It is the senior high school which your coordinator Shun went. This is public school founded in 1984. It has unique system which allows each student to choose the course of study (Choose one from humanities, languages (English, German, French or Chinese), mathematics and science, home economics, music and art, calligraphy, sports science, business and computer science) and create their own curriculum from approximately 190 elective subjects.
  • Students take those elective classes in their 2nd and 3rd year of school. Around 200 faculties work and more than 2,300 students are studying at this campus.
  • Lunch on the way from the school
  • Visit Omiya Bonsai Art Museum. If time allows stop by Omiya Hikawa-Jinja Shrine.
  • Return to your hotel - Free dinner (at your own expense).
  • Meal(s) included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 3: Tuesday, June 11 - Roundtrip transfer by private coach

  • 2nd school visit at Bunkyo University (private school)
  • Ÿ   Presentation from a professor of Bunkyo University - Education Dept.
  • Ÿ   (If possible) the group of participants may be allowed to join the coordinator’s partner’s class to discuss education in Japan with his students. They may be able to present their experience in elementary, middle schools and Bunkyo University as a trainee.
  • Ÿ   Lunch on campus
  • Ÿ   Observe teacher trainee class and Q & A with teacher trainees (if time allows)
  • Handmade rice cracker senbei baking experience at a Senbei factory.
  • Depending on the schedule of school visit, you will have this experience before or after the school visit. You will learn the process of making traditional Senbei snack in Japan. Enjoy their freshly roasted rick crackers!
  • Return to your hotel - Free dinner (at your own expense).
  • Meal(s) included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 4: Wednesday, June 12 - Roundtrip transfer by private coach

Day 5: Thursday, June 13 - Roundtrip transfer by private coach

  • 4th school visit: kindergarten (public or private)
  • Afternoon visit in local library in Tokyo: Itabashi Bologna Picture Book Library

  • Depending on the schedule of school visit, you will have those visits before or after the school visit.
  • Return to your hotel - Free dinner (at your own expense).

Day 6: Friday, June 14 - Roundtrip transfer by private coach

Day 7: Saturday, June 15 – Airport transfer by a private coach

  • Check out
  • Transfer to Airport (either Haneda/HND or Narita/NRT) by private coach
  • Meal(s) included: Breakfast

The cost covers:

  1. Round International flights from JFK OR LAX to Tokyo   
  2. All the visits to schools in Japan    
  3. Private transportation in Japan   
  4. Hotel based on 4 star
  5. Breakfast at the hotel everyday
  6. Lunch everyday
  7. Welcome and Farwell dinners

The cost of the trip is $4450. 
Payment Schedule (alternate schedule may be negotiated by request of the participant) 

  • $1500 by March 1, 2024
  • $1550 by April 1, 2024
  • $1450 by May 1, 2024 
    •  Note:  If an upgrade to single occupancy is requested and available:
      $500 by April 15, 2024, for single occupancy  

The cost doesn’t cover:

  • Travel health insurance
  • Any activities not mentioned in the program
  • Tips

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations must be received in writing.  The following cancellation schedule applies:
1- 25% of the paid amount refunded 50 days before departure.
2- No refund within 51 days of the departure date.

*There may exist minor changes in the program timetables and venues due to the possible restrictions.
